a^(1/3)=3 how do i get this a? i know it's 27 but how do i get to this?

A 1/3rd power is a cube root; to get rid of a cube root, cube both sides:

             a1/3  =  3

--->   (a1/3)3  =  (3)3

Multiply the exponents on the left side together:

--->   (a)1  =  27

--->   a  =  27
