a+5=-5a+5        --Add 5a to both sides. Whatever we do to one side we have to do to the other side.

+5a  +5a

---------------

6a+5=5            ---Subtract 5 from both sides.

    -5   -5

-------------

6a = 0          ---Divide both sides by 6

6a ÷ 6 = 0 ÷ 6

a = 0
