A bag of sugar has a mass of 2.26 kg. What is its weight in in newtons on the moon, where the acceleration due to gravity is 1/6 of that on earth?

F=ma     m=mass is the same on earth as on the moon BUT   a = acceleration is different

moon:  f = 2.26 kg (9.8 m/s^2)(1/6) = 3.69 N
