A bird is flying south and went 112.5 miles in 1.5 hours with the wind. Against the wind, it would take the bird 2.25 hours to fly the same distance. What is the rate of the wind? *You need to use an algebraic equation

S =Flying speed of the bird

W =Wind speed

112.5 / [S + W] = 1.5 hours................(1)

112.5 / [S  - W] = 2.25 hours..............(2)

Now, you have 2 simultaneous equations. Can you solve them?
