A circle has a radius of 4 ft.

What is the area of the sector formed by a central angle measuring 5 * 3.14/2 radians?

Use 3.14 for pi.

\(\frac{\text{sector area}}{\text{circle area}}=\frac{\text{central angle measure}}{\text{the total angular measure of a circle}} \\~\\ \frac{\text{sector area}}{\pi*4^2}=\frac{\frac{5\pi}2}{2\pi} \\~\\ \text{sector area}=(\pi*4^2)(\frac{\frac{5\pi}2}{2\pi})=20\pi\approx20(3.14)=62.8\text{ sq. ft.}\)
