A cone-shaped paper cup is 7 cm high with a diameter of 6 cm. If the ivy plant on Julia's desk needs 240 mL of water, about how many paper cups of water will use to water it?(1mL=1cm³)

The volume of a cone is given by

Vc =  (1/3) * pi * r2 * h          so...if the diameter  is 6, the radius = 3   and we have

Vc = (1/3) * pi * 32 * 7 =  65.98cm3

And  240cm3 / 65.98 cm3 =  about 3.6 cups  !!!!
