You can do this with physics formulas or with calculus.  I have used a physics formula

$$\\s=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^2\\\\
u=0,\;\;s=588m\;\;a=13.8m/s^2\\\\
s=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^2\\\\
588=\frac{1}{2}\times 13.8\times t^2\\\\
588*2/13.8=t^2\\\\
t=\sqrt{588*2/13.8}\\\\$$
