1.  The relative minimum  is the low point on the graph....this is  -36

The relative max  is the high point on the graph....this is 64

 

2.  f (x) = 8x^2 + 16x  + 6         g (x)  = x^3 - 3x^2  - 9

 

So   ( f + g) x   =    f (x) + g (x)   =

 

x^3  + 8x^2 - 3x^2 + 16x + 6  - 9  =

 

x^3  + 5x^2 + 16x - 3  ......so.....true  !!!

 

 

3.  5pi / 3

 

To convert to  degrees we have

 

5pi / 3  *    180  / pi  =

 

5pi / (3 pi) * 180  =

 

(5/3) * 180  =

 

5 * (180 / 3)  =

 

5 * 60  =
