A group of students were surveyed to see if they have any pets. Of the students  surveyed, 80% said they have a dog, and 16% said they have a dog and a cat. What  is the probability that a student has a cat given that the student already has a dog?

P ( C l D )  =   P (D and C) / P (D )  = .16 / .80  =  .20  =  20%
