Imagine a triangle with sides a, b, and c with angles A, B, and C.  Side a is 10 inches, angle A is 120°, and angle B is 15°.  To the nearest thousandth, what are the lengths of sides b and c and to the nearest whole degree, what is the degrees of angle C?  Please show how you got to your answers.

Law of Sines ......

10 / sin(120) = b / sin(15)

b = 10*sin(15)/sin(120)  = about 2.989

Angle C = [ 180 -120 - 10 ]°  = 50°

And we can use the Law of Sines once more

10/sin(120) = c / sin(50)

c = 10*sin(50)/sin (120) =  about 8.846
