A line passes through (-2,-3) and has a slope of -3/4 which is an equation of the line?

F:  y - 3 = -3/4 (x-2)

G: y + 3 = -3/4 (x-2)

H: y - 3 = -3/4 (x +2)

J: y + 3 = -3/4 (x+2)

please explain.

So a line has the following formula:

ax+b

a is the slope and b is the point where x = 0.

The slope is -3/4

so its -3/4 * x + b

To get b we just put the point into the equation.

f(x) = -3/4 * x + b

-3 = -3/4 * -2 + b   I

-3 = 6/4 + b.   I -b I +3

-b = 18/4

b=-4.5

Oh wait i didnt read ur answers.

Ayy another edit:

y= -3/4 * x - 4.5.  I +3

y+3 = -3/4 * x - 1.5

is equal to:

y+3 = -3/4(x+2)

Im way to tired but jea no prob.
