Work out the slope of each option from (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1):

 

a. slope = (2 - 5)/(-4 - 0) = -3/-4 = 3/4

b. slope = (1 - 2)/(-4 - 0) = -1/-4 = 1/4

c. slope = (-2 - 0)/(0 - 0) = -2/0 ⇒ vertical line

d. slope = (-2 - -2)/(-4 - 0) = 0/-4 = 0 ⇒ horizontal line
