A ramp used to load vehicles on to a truck is 15 feet long. The ramp makes a 35 degree angle with the ground. Find how high the upper end of the ramp is above the ground.

We can use the sine to solve this....the "opp" is the height off the ground......

sin (35) = opp / 15    multiply both sides by 15

15 sin(35) =  about 8.6 ft
