A rectangular park is 12 km long and 8 km wide. How long is a pedestrian route that runs diagonally across the park?

Use the Pythagorean theorem...

a^2+b^2=c^2

12^2+8^2=?

144+64=208

this means the answer is the square root of 208. That is about 14.42...

unless I made a mistake. (Like melody said, I have been drinking virtual alcohol)
