Area of the square:  16 x 16  =  .....     

 

Area of a circle:  Area  =  pi · radius2

Area of a semicircle:  Area of Semicircle  =  ½ · pi · radius2 

For this problem:        Area of Semicircle  =  ½ · pi · radius2   =  ½ · pi · 82   =  ........   

 

You will need to add the area of answer #1 to 3 of answer #2 ...
