You have had your question here for ages, sorry about that.
Now an arc is a part of a circle or, perhaps more precisely it is a section of the circumference of a circle.
If 2 things are adjacent then they are right next to each other. For instance, your neighbours property is adjacent to yours because they share a common fence or boundary line.
So 2 adjacent arcs would be 2 arcs on the same circle that are just touching each other.
