Solve for x over the real numbers:
2 e^(x+2)-5 = 15

Add 5 to both sides:
2 e^(x+2) = 20

Divide both sides by 2:
e^(x+2) = 10

Take the natural logarithm of both sides:
x+2 = log(10)

Subtract 2 from both sides:
Answer: | x = log(10) - 2
