What's a simpler way of working out: (-5/6) to the power of 3, divided by (5/12) to the power of 4.

(-5/6)^3 / (5/12)^4

[-125/216] / [625/20,736]

[-125/216] x [20,736/625]

-2,592,000 / 135,000

=-96/5 =-19.2

ANOTHER way:

(-5/6)^3  /  (5/12)^4  =

(-10/12)^3  / (5/12)^4  =

(-2(5/12)^3  / (5/12)^4 =

-8 (5/15^3) / (5/12)^4 =

-8 (5/12)^(3-4)

-8 (5/12)^-1

-8 (12/5)  =   -96/5 =  -19.2

If you want a rally simple way of doing it, then it is this:

5-/6=-0.8333...^3=-0.57870370........etc.

5/12=0.4166667......^4=0.030140817......etc.

-0.57870370..... / 0.030140817....

=-19.2
