Mr. Graham celebrated his 69th birthday by marrying for the fourth time! Despite his repeated enquiries, his wife-to-be had been rather secretive about her age. On their wedding night she finally gave in, but in a very cryptic manner! She told Mr. Graham that the sum of her present age and the number of his previous wives is equal to 1/3 of what his age will be when he is older by as many years as she is now. How old is she? thanks for help.

Let x = her age

x + 3  previous wives = 1/3 (69 + x)

x + 3 = 23 + 1/3 x

2/3 x = 20

x = her age = 30
