The equation y = -16t^2 + 60t describes the height (in feet) of a projectile launched from the ground at 60 feet per second upward. In how many seconds will the projectile first reach 82 feet in height? Express your answer as a decimal rounded to the nearest hundredth.

This never will happen

The time to  max  height  =  -60/ (2 *-16)  =  60/32 =  1.875 sec

And  the height  will be

-16(1.875)^2  + 60 (1.875)    = 56.25  ft
