Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me on this problem?

The domain of the function \(q(x) = x^4 + 4x^2 + 4\) is \([0,\infty)\). What is the range?

Thank you so much!

Factor   this as

(x^2  + 2)^2

This has no real zero    ......so....the  function lies entirely above the  x axis

Since  both of the  variable  terms  only have  minimums when x  =  0,  the  minimum of the  fuction =  4

So....the range is  [ 4, infinity )
