Okay, so to solve this you need the basic algebra skills of "Combining Like Terms".

 

 

So, the equation we have is:

 

 

10y + 17x + 14y.

 

Since the value of X is given, all of a sudden we have a constant, and now can write this as an equation. 

 

Now we have:

10y + 14y = 17x

 

Let's substitute:

10y + 14y = 17(0.045)

=  10y + 14y = 0.765

 

Let's combine like terms.

= 24y = 0.765

 

Let's Isolate the Variable. 

 

y = 0.765 ÷ 24

 

y = 0.031875

 

And that should be your answer.
