The quadratic x^2 - 6x + 60 can be written in the form (x + b)^2 + c, where b and c are constants. What is b + c?
I'm not sure, but I think that b + c = 48.
This is just to indicate that Straight's answer is correct:
x2 - 6x + 60 = (x2 - 6x + 9) + (60 - 9) = (x - 3)2 + 51
---> b = -3 and c = 51
