A baseball is thrown upward at a velocity of 32 feet per second from a height of 7 feet. The equation to represent the height (h) after t seconds is h=−16t2+32t+7. How long before the ball hits the ground? (Round to the nearest hundredth of a second.)

You are given the equation for height of the ball......when the ball hits the ground, h will = zero

0 = -16t^2 + 32t + 7        solve for t  using quadratic formula   (throw out any negative value of t)
