ab^4 = 48           divide  the first wquation by the second

ab^2 = 4

 

b^2 = 12          take the both roots

b =  ± sqrt (12) = ± 2sqrt (3)

 

ab^2 =4

a (12) = 4

a = 4/12 = 1/3
