Tina lives 30 miles away from her work, and she normally drives at 45 miles per hour. If she wants to get to work 15 minutes earlier, how fast should she drive to work, in miles per hour?

30 miles / 45 m/hr =  2/3 hr = 40 minutes

15 minutes earlier would be 25 minutes to get there  ( 5/12 hr)

30 miles / x m/hr = 5/12 hr

x =    30 * 12/5 = 72 m/hr

Chris got 60 mph: https://web2.0calc.com/questions/3-questions-on-algebra

"

It takes Tina  30miles / 45mph  =  2/3 of an hour to get to work  = 40 minutes

So......10 minutes earlier is 30 minutes.....so........to travel 30 miles in 30 minutes....she must travel at 1 mile per minute  =  60 mph   "

But this question in NOT 10 minutes earlier but 15 minutes earlier. So, the first answer of 72 mph is correct.
