The roots of Ax^2+Bx+1 are the same as the roots of (x - 2)(x + 2). What is A+B?

expanding (x-2)(x+2) is x^2-4 so we mutiply the whole thing by -1/4 to get -1/4x^2+1=0 so a is -1/4 and b is 0

 

Answer is -1/4
