Find the largest value of $x$ such that $3x^2 + 17x + 15 = 2x^2 + 21x + 12 - 5x^2 + 17x + 34.$

rearrange terms for clarity              (3x2 – 2x2 + 5x2) + (17x – 21x – 17x) + (15 – 12 – 34)  =  0

combine like terms                          6x2 – 21x – 31  =  0

A parabola that opens upward has no largest value.
