$$(-8 - 4 / -6 - -2)\\
=-8 - 4 / -6 +2\\
=-8 - (4 / -6)+2\\
=-8 - (2 / -3)+2\\
=-8 - (2 / -3) +2\\
$At this point I would do it slightly differently$\\
=-8+2 - (2 / -3) \\
=-6 + (2 / 3) \\
=-5\frac{1}{3}$$
