A=7x+6 and A =4x +42

Since  A = A,    set these equations equal

7x + 6  = 4x + 42      subtract 6, 4x from both sides

3x  = 36     divide both sides by 3

x = 12

And using either equation, A = 7(12) + 6   = 84 + 6 = 90

cool cool cool
