Combining Like Terms,

 

3x^2 + 4x + 10, so

 

a = 3, b = 4, and c = 10

 

The formula for the discrimant is b^2 - 4ac

 

Plugging in the values,

 

4^2 - 4(3)(10) = 16 - 120 = -104

 

This means that the quadratic has no real roots.
