just eyeballing it I know that 4 + 9 = 13 so lets assume x = y = 2. Now to solve the second equation to see if my hunch is right
2^(2+2) + 3^(2+1) = 43
2^4 + 3^3 = 43
16 + 27 = 43
43 = 43
turns out was right lol so 2^x = 2^2 = 4
