In triangle ABC, angle bisectors AD,CF and BE meet at I. If DI=3, BD=3, and BI=6, then compute the area of triangle ABC.

This is impossible

 

Look  at triangle   BDI

 

BD =  3    DI  =  3      and  BI   = 6

 

By the triangle inequality theorem,  BD + DI   must be greater than BI

 

But

 

BD + DI  =  BI

 

So......this inner triangle cannot exist
