Line k intersected on the left side has an equasion; (2x+8)

Line k intersected on the right side has an equasion; (5x-10)

Line L intersected on the left side has an equasion; (3x+42)

Line L intersected on the right side has an equasion;(x+34)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not sure, but I think you are tyring to find some angles, here

We have that, for line K  ....   [ 2x + 8 ] +  [ 5x - 10]  = 180

Simplifying, we have ....7x - 2 = 180     add 2 to both sides

7x = 182    divide both sides by 7

x = 26

So.....the angle on the left side of line K  = 2(26) + 8 = 52 + 8  = 60

And....the angle on the right side of line K = 5(26) - 10  = 130 - 10  = 120

The angle on the right side of line L  actually must be  3x + 42  = 3(26) + 42 = 78 + 42  = 120.....which makes sense, because parallel lines intersected by a transversal will have corresonding angles equal

As a check, the angle on the left side of line L should = 60....let's see... (26) + 34 = 60.....yep  !!!

And there you are.....

Lines I and K are parallel and are intersected by line J,

Line k intersected on the left side has an equasion; (2x+8)

Line k intersected on the right side has an equasion; (5x-10)

Line L intersected on the left side has an equasion; (3x+42)

Line L intersected on the right side has an equasion;(x+34)

nevermind, the question got revoked, the teacher said there's no way to find the value...
