A person can pay $ 16 for a membership to the art museum and then go to the museum for just $ 3 pervisit. For amember of the art museum, what is the total cost of 10visits?
ok!
in this question we will solve like
as it says to be a member you need to pay $16 and after you are a member ....you just have to pay $3 for one visit!(good deal lol)
now....they are asking that for a member of the art museam...what will their 10 time visit to the museum cost.So in this we just have to multiply 10 by $3 and that gives us $30 and thats our answer!
if you have a doubt...feel free to ask!
Once you have paid your $16.00 membership fee, you have to pay just $3.00 per visit.
So, for 10 visits, you will pay 10 x $3.00 or $30.00.
Don't forget to include your initial membership fee of $16.00,
so your total fee will be $16.00 + $30.00 = $46.00.
But geno...they are saying that whats the cost for someone whose already a member.....so to be a member one got to pay $ 16 on the spot so how can 46 be the total cost?
Rosala, I can see how two different interpretations of this problem might be made....geno is including the original membership cost in the "total" cost of 10 visits.....you're just including the $3 per visit in the "total" cost for 10 visits.....
Since they include the cost of membership in this question, maybe geno's method is preferable, but I'll give you points for a good answer, too.....
but CPhill it says " for a member of the art museum" so that means that the person is already a member.....they have already paid!
