220,000  =  2.2 x 10^5

1,500  =  1.2 x 10^3

(2.2 x 10^5) x (1.2 x 10^3)  =  (2.2 x 1.2) x (10^5 x 10^3)  =  2.64 x 10^8  =  2.6 x 10^8
