Arrange the terms 6x^4 y^2-4x^2 y +2xy^2+8 so that the powers of y are in ascending order

6x⁴y² - 4x²y + 2xy² + 8

 

Ascending means from least to greatest.

 

8 - 4x²y + 2xy² + 6x⁴y²

 

The last two terms have the same power of y, so I guess it doesn't matter which comes first.

Also the normal way to arrange an expression is to put the powers in descending order, which just means from greatest to least.
