  1. In the game of JUMBLE, the letters of a word are scrambled.  The player must form the correct word.  In a recent game in a local newspaper, the Jumble “word” was LINCEY.  How many different possible arrangements of these letters are there to form different 6 letter words?

Note that there are 6 possibilities for the first lettter, 5 possibilities for the second, etc.

So we have

6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 6!  = 720 possible "words"
