Betty cuts 3/4m from a piece of rope 2 2/3m long. Is there enough rope left for two pieces 5/6m long each?

2 + 2/3 m   =  8/3 m   =  32/12 m

3/4 m  =  9/12m

5/6 m  =  10/12m

So..... if the following evaluates to <  0    .....we don't have enough

32/12  - 9/12 - 10/12 - 10/12  =

23/12 - 20/12  =    3/12  = 1/4

So....there is enough  !!!!
