   What non-zero integer must be placed in the square so that     

   the simplified product of these two binomials is a binomial     

 

   If you put a 12 in that box you get  (3x + 2) (18x – 12)     

   which will simplify to                       (3x + 2) (  3x –   2) (6)     

                                                           (9x² – 4) (6)     

                                                            54x² – 24
