My scientific calculator says the answer is 12, but how? I tried the BODMAS rules but came to a different answer.
+633 Brackets:
4-1 = 3
now we have 21 - 3(3)
Over: Nothing
Division and Multiplication: No division, but we are multiplying 3 by 3 (parenthesis neighbors):
3 * 3 = 9
now we have 21 - 9
Addition and Subtraction: No addition, but we are subtracting 9 from 21
21 - 9 = 12
The answer is 12.
