Can I divide boths sides by t in 0.54 m = 3.255m/s(t) - 4.95m/s2(t)? Just say yes or no. Thank you.

I think you might have this incorrect.....this looks like a kinematic equation for vertical displacement......I believe that it should be:

 

0.54 = 3.255t  - 4.95t^2     rearrange as :

 

-4.95t^2 + 3.255t - 0.54   = 0

 

We can't just divide by t.......

 

We can use the quadratic formula to solve........however......WolframAlpha shows no real solutions (???)  for t......!!!!

 

If I've interpeted this incorrectly......sorry....!!!
