A cubic function y has real coefficients, and its zeros are -4, 3 and 0. If x=1, y=20 satisfies its equation, find the equation of the cubic function in standard form.

Give   x (x+4)(x-3)     expand

        c (x^3 +x^2-12x)           = y

 x = 1

           1 + 1 -12  = 20

              -10c = 20

               c = -2

 

-2x3 -2 x2 +24x   = y

Given:    x (x+4)(x-3)     expand

        c (x^3 +x^2-12x)           = y

When  x = 1 :

         c(  1 + 1 -12)  = 20
