Since the tringles are congruent, their relavent sides are the same

   the htpotenuses are the same    soooo   13 = 4x + 1

                                                                     12 = 4x

                                                                        x = 3

 

now you can find 'y' too

   the bottom sides are =

       2(3) + y = 8(3) - 2y

         6 + y   = 24 - 2y

              3y = 18

                 y = 6
