We  can  use  the Law of Cosines

 

a^2  = b^2  + c^2  - 2 ( b*c)  * cos 44°

 

a^2  = 33^2  + 19^2  - 2 ( 33 * 19) * cos 44°

 

a^2  =  1089  + 361 - 2 ( 627) *cos 44°

 

a^2 = 547.9

 

a = sqrt (547.9)   ≈   23.4   miles
