can you help with 2- 4/x-3

I assume that this is either: 

(2-4)/(x-3)   =   -2/(x-3)  = 2/(3-x)        OR

2 - 4/x - 3      which we can rewrite as

2 - 3 - 4/x      =    -1 - 4x

This illustrates the importance of parenthesis and/or brackets.......!!!
