Choose two numbers from the box to complete the multiplication sentence. 8 9 19 22 25 26 × = 208 Submit
The easiest way to go about this is TRIAL AND ERROR, so I'll do so.
Our numbers are 8, 9, 19, 22, 25, 26
Now multiplying any of the two digit numbers in the same combo is a no go, you'll get over 208 and multiplying 8 by 9 gets you 72 so we know those are out.
- Lets try 8 and 19... They equal 152, closer but not what we need
- How about 8 and 22...? Drats, 176.
- Okay I'm sure 8 and 25 can do it... Nope... we got 200.
- I give up... just go with 8 and 26... What? You mean to tell me we got it? 8 times 26 is 208? Oh, well okay then the combination is 8 and 26.
Hope some humor helped you with this. c:

Here's another way.....
208 = 104 * 2 = 52 * 4 = 26* 8
So.......that must be the right thing........
Good thinking CPhill, I never liked those methods so trial and error was just my opinion. Your method worked to be shorter and more effective. Props to you.
