In a circle with center O , AD is a diameter, ABC is a chord, BO = 5 , and angle ABO = arc CD = 50 degrees. Find the length of BC.
In a circle with center O, AD is a diameter, ABC is a chord, BO = 5, and ABO = arc CD = 50 degrees. Find the length of BC.
1/ Using the law of sines find AB, AO (AO * 2 = AD)
2/ Using trig find AC (ACD is the right triangle)
3/ Subtract AB from AC and you'll get BC = 10 - 5*sqrt(3)
