i got this thus far:
a.
i.M(10,12)
ii. radius = 7
b. MN = 25
I require help on C please
(c) the radius of the circle will meet the tangent at a right angle
Thus...points MNP from a right triangle
We know the distance fom M to P = the radius = 7
The distance from M to N is the hypotenuse = sqrt [ (25 - 10)^2 + (32 - 12)^2 ] =
sqrt [ 15^2 + 20^2 ] =
sqrt [ 225 + 400 ] =
sqrt [ 625] =
25
So....using the Pythagorean Theorem MP^2 + NP^2 = MN^2...so....
NP = sqrt [ MN^2 - MP^2 ] = sqrt [ 625 - 49 ] = sqrt [ 576] = 24
