15  -  6    = 

 

9       

 

 

The bottom is a little trickier

 

3 [ 5 / (3 - 8) ]  =         work inside the parentheses, first

 

3 [ 5 / (-5) ]       =       now, inside the brackets  

 

3 [  -1 ]    =           now, just multiply

 

-3

 

 

So.....we end up with

 

9  /  - 3    =
